PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily specify operation equipment as the other party of communication, and to provide an operation object equipment which operates according to the operation signal of the specified operation equipment. SOLUTION: This broadcast receiving device 31 is provided with a broadcast receiving device radio LAN communication part 33 for receiving an operation signal to be transmitted by radio LAN communication; a broadcast receiving device IR communication part 32 for transmitting the network address of the radio LAN communication by IR communication; and a broadcast receiving device control part 35 for making the broadcast receiving device IR communication part 32 transmit the network address only to a portable telephone set 21 existing in an IR communication validating range, and for receiving the operation signal to be transmitted to the network address transmitted only in a predetermined period after transmitting the network address. Thus, it is possible to easily specify the portable telephone set 21 as the other party of communication, and to operate operation object equipment according to an operation signal to be transmitted by the specified portable telephone set 21.
