A method and a system for analyzing a use pattern of rich media are provided to enable a media server to know a rich media use pattern of a terminal even though rich media that a media server transmits are played in the terminal by itself. An event collector(210) collects event information transmitted from a terminal(100). A use pattern analyzer(220) analyzes a use pattern of the terminal based on the event information. A user information inquiry unit(390) stores at least one among kind information of the terminal, rich media player information and user identification information. The use pattern analyzer analyzes a use pattern of the terminal with reference to the information stored in the user information inquiry unit.
