PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet molding compound manufacturing method capable of providing a SMC sheet stable in hardness and limited in defect during molding.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a sheet molding compound 4 comprises: supplying a reinforcing fiber material 2 to a resin compound 1 containing a thickener; and then applying pressure to impregnate the resin compound 1 between the reinforcing fiber materials 2. The method includes: the step (A) of measuring the temperature or the hardness of sheet molding compound 4 after the impregnation; and the step (B) of adjusting the temperature of the resin compound 1 before supplying to the reinforcing material 2 so that the temperature or the hardness of the sheet molding compound 4 after the impregnation can subsequently be set within a predetermined range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
