PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device capable of extremely reducing the number of interrupting times of image forming actions while avoiding the deterioration of image quality even in the case a system for correcting reference voltage to be impressed on a contact electrifying means so that electrification potential on the surface of a photoreceptor may be maintained at target potential by measuring the electrification potential on the surface of the photoreceptor is applied to the image forming device using the contact electrifying means. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with the contact electrifying means 2 coming into contact with an image carrier 1 and imparting charge thereto, a voltage impressing means 21 impressing the reference voltage on the means 2, a potential detecting means 10 detecting the electrification potential on the image carrier 1, an environmental condition detecting means 11 detecting the environmental condition of the means 2, and a control means 20 controlling the means 21 based on the detected result by the means 10 and the detected result by the means 11. The control means 20 is constituted of a reference voltage correction means correcting the reference voltage of the means 21 so that the electrification potential on the image carrier 1 may be the target potential and a timing setting means for setting the execution timing of the reference voltage correction means. |
