The present invention relates to an interference cancelation repeater and a control method thereof, and more specifically, to an interference cancelation repeater which is capable of determining whether an interference signal is required to be canceled or not, and to a control method thereof. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the interference cancelation repeater comprises: an interference cancelation unit for generating an interference cancelation signal by removing an interference signal included in a received input signal; a control unit for generating isolation information by using the input signal and the interference cancelation signal, determining whether the interference signal is canceled or not by using the isolation information, and generating control information corresponding to the determination result; and a near field communications unit for transmitting the control information to a connected mobile communications terminal. The interference cancelation repeater and a control method thereof according to the present invention are capable of determining whether an interference signal is required to be canceled or not, thereby effectively cancelling the interference signal.
