PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor having a casing with thermal growth characteristics matched sufficiently to thermal growth characteristics of a rotor.SOLUTION: A casing assembly (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 700) for a gas turbine engine (10) having a centerline axis (11) includes: a metallic inner ring (112, 212, 312, 412, 512, 712) defining an annular flowpath surface (116); a metallic outer ring (111, 211, 311, 411, 511, 711) positioned in axial alignment with the inner ring (112, 212, 312, 412, 512, 712) and radially inward of the inner ring (112, 212, 312, 412, 512, 712); and a conduction cut structure (126, 227, 326, 427, 527, 729) disposed between the inner and outer rings.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
