PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage system for storing electric power generated by a photovoltaic power generator in a storage battery for emergency, capable of maintaining, at a predetermined value, a voltage of surplus power supplied to an electrical load even when generated power drops due to a decrease in solar radiation against the photovoltaic power generator, and ensuring power storage for emergency without having any influence upon power storage and without causing any hunting.SOLUTION: The power storage system includes an auxiliary storage battery 92 and a solar radiation sensor 78 for detecting solar radiation against a photovoltaic power generator 60. Under a state where a storage battery 1 for storage is not charged, the power storage system supplies electric power generated by the photovoltaic power generator 60 to an electrical load and the remainder to the auxiliary storage battery 92, respectively, when solar radiation not less than a predetermined value is detected and, when the solar radiation not less than the predetermined value is not detected, supplies electric power stored in the auxiliary storage battery 92 to the electrical load.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
