PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system voltage controller capable of preventing system voltage from getting overvoltage even when a capacitor for boosting the system voltage is provided to an electric power system.SOLUTION: A reactive power compensation device 1 controls the voltage in an electric power system in which a boosting MSC 5 is provided. The system voltage controller includes: a susceptance calculation section 15 that detects a system voltage Vp and a system current Ip to calculate the susceptance based on the system voltage Vp and the system current Ip; and an MSC cooperative control section 16 for controlling the MSC 5 based on the calculated susceptance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
