PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent cellulose sheet with high transmissivity and water absorbency.SOLUTION: A transparent cellulose sheet has an average pore diameter of 50 nm or less, a pore volume of 0.002 cm/g or higher, and a degree of crystallization of 12% or less. A manufacturing method of the transparent cellulose sheet comprises: a step (A) of obtaining a solution by dissolving cellulose in an ionic liquid; a step (B) of obtaining a membrane by depositing with the solution after the step (A); a step (C) of making the membrane absorb moisture after the step (B); a step (D) of removing the ionic liquid by washing the membrane after the step (C); and a step (E) of obtaining the transparent cellulose sheet by drying the membrane after the step (D). The average amount of moisture absorption in the step (C) is 300 mg/h or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
