PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle that can execute both series travel and series-parallel travel modes.SOLUTION: A transmission portion 40 is configured so as to be switchable between a non-neutral state in which power of an engine 10 is transmitted through a path K1 and a neutral state in which the power of the engine 10 is not transmitted through the path K1. A clutch CS is provided in the path K2 and can be switched between an engagement state in which power is transmitted from the engine 10 to a first MG20 and a release state in which the transmission of the power from the engine 10 to the first MG20 is interrupted. When the transmission portion 40 is controlled into the non-neutral state and, at the same time, the CS clutch is put into the release state, a vehicle can be operated in a series parallel travel mode. On the other hand, when the engine 10 is directly connected to the MG20 by the CS clutch to transmit power to the MG20 through the path K2 and the transmission portion 40 is controlled into the neutral state to interrupt the path K1, the vehicle can be operated in a series travel mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
