PURPOSE: To obtain an aseptic packing for an injury which does not inhibit curing of the wound and can absorb a large amount of wound exudate, by providing a flexible wound exudate absorbent layer in a sealed form set in between first and second sheets. CONSTITUTION: This aseptic packing for a wound is made by forming a flexible absorbent layer in between first and second sheets and provided in a from substantially cut in a flat, coil, or spiral shape. Hydrogel dehydrated to some extent containing about 5-55% wt.% of water is impregnated into the absorbent layer which is selected form a group comprising gauze fabric, cloth, nonwoven natural fiber, nonwoven synthetic fiber, a polymer sheet, and a polymer film. The package is equipped with a back lining layer comprising a release coating at a part of one surface of first and second sheets. |
