PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sponge working device 1 capable of easily working a long-size shaped prismatic urethane sponge 11 into a substantially long-size columnar or substantially long-size cylindrical shape.SOLUTION: A sponge working device 1 includes: a sponge supporting member 21 which supports a prismatic urethane sponge 11; a heating wire stretching member 31 made by stretching a heating wire 36 on tips of an upper side stretching frame 33 and a lower side stretching frame 34 arranged side by side across a prescribed interval; and a voltage supplying means which applies a voltage for the heating wire 36, the prismatic urethane sponge 11 being melted by the heating wire 36 and being worked. Therein, a rotation driving unit 23 which turns the sponge support member 21 is provided, a length of the heating wire 36 between the upper side stretching frame 33 and the lower side stretching frame 34 is set to be 1200 mm and the heating wire stretching member 31 is provided with an upper side spring 37 and a lower side spring 38 which energize the heating wire 36 in a tension direction of the heating wire 36.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
