A low carbon rimmed steel comprises: - C 0À02-0À15% Mn 0À05-0À25% and S 0À01% max. the balance, apart from impurities, of which O 2 is preferably 350 ppm. max. being Fe. The steel may be hot worked with a finishing temperature of 820‹ C., optionally annealed at 720‹ C. and then coiled at 600‹C. The steel has pressformability and is suitable for deep drawing. |
