LOW NOISE SPINDLE MOTOR FOR WINCHESTER DISK DRIVES

A resilient coupling is disposed between the stator and the spindle shaft of a Winchester disk drive to reduce the transference of axial and radial disturbances produced by the motor to the spindle shaft and housing, providing a concomitant decrease in acoustical noise.
