MANUFACTURE OF SHEET ELECTRODE

PURPOSE:To provide a method for manufacturing a sheet electrode in which the adhesion of an electrode slurry to a current collector sheet is improved to prevent the electrode slurry from being peeled from the current collector sheet. CONSTITUTION:A method for manufacturing a sheet electrode comprises applying a slurry obtained by adding and mixing vinylidene polyfluoride as a binder and a solvent to a carbon material which is an electrode active material to a copper sheet electrode current collector followed by drying and solidifying. Prior to the application of the slurry to the current collector, a silane coupling agent represented by the composition formula: X-Si-R3 (X is an amino group represented by the composition formula NH2, R is a methoxy group represented by the composition formula OCH3 or an ethoxy group represented by the composition formula OCH2CH3) in a ratio of 10-20wt% to the binder.
