Wire extruding lubricant disc

Wire drawing process is partic. for steel by which the slab is completely moulded so as not to leave a residue and the die is lubricated as described in PV73646 by inserting a disc between the slab and the moulding which extrudes the block entirely from the mould. It leaves a residue in the die, forming the lubricant for the following block. The disc is calcinated mica, specif. of formula Al3(K Na) H2(SiO4/3.
