The solids are separated from the gas stream in an apparatus consisting of a group of separate channels of the same shape, each channel having at least one bent portion approximately sinusoidal in shape. Near the apex of the curve are collection troughs into which the solids fall, having low thin velocity due to the line of their path in the channel. The new claim relates to the profile elements at the apex, which provide a sealed profile. The assembly of channels can be made in one piece, plastic being suitable.
