Pipe drawing machine does not require the use of a clamping block and provides a pair of pipe gripping devices adjacent to the drawing nozzle support. A driving mechanism moves each gripper device of the pair so that successively approaching strands are moved in the same direction along the axis of the drawing nozzle.
