PURPOSE:To obtain a highly heat-resistant hollow body, in which fiber reinforced material is uniformly distributed, by a method wherein a cylinder, which is produced by intertwining, weaving or the like heat-resistant fibers, and has gaps and at the same time is shape-retainable, is impregnated with monomeric polyamide by rotary molding for polymerization. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 2 made of heat-resistant fiber is arranged along the inner wall 11 in a rotary molding tool 1. The cylinder 2 is produced, for example, by integrally weaving, intertwining or adhering heat-resistant fibers such as glass fibers, carbon fibers, aramid fibers or the like. Next, monomeric polyamide resin 3 together with polymerization initiator and catalyst is poured in the molding tool 1. under rotation so as to fill the cylinder 2 for polymerization by rotary molding. The obtained cylinder 4 has excellent mechanical strength, wear resistance and the like in use conditions at elevated temperature, since reinforcing material distributes not scatteringly but uniformly even by rotary molding. |
