The microwave coupler consists of four couplers each with 3 arms whose through-arms are connected together via coupling lines and whose branch arms are coupled together via filters. The lengths of the coupling lines and branch filter lines are chosen so that the frequency being coupled out undergoes a 90 deg. phase shift. Two arms are constructed as series arms (5', 7') and two arms as parallel arms (6', 8'). Each coupling line (9', 10') is connected to corresponding arms. The filters have an even number of resonators (14,14', 15,15'). |
