The tool F disclosed in the apparatus according to Specifition 1,055,939 carries a housing 2 for a rotatable roller 1, and a plate 3 having tongues 4, 5 bent downwards at different angles. During tyre removal the tongue 5 acts as a guide while tongue 4 removes the adjacent tyre bead, roller 1 being inoperative. The roller 1 has a frustoconical base (see Fig. 1, not shown) which during tyre fitment presses the tyre bead into the rim, while the tongue 4 presses on the tyre sidewall and the tongue 5 again acts as a guide (see Fig. 2, not shown). |
