1,207,175. Steam generation. G.W.B. BOILERS Ltd. 1 Feb., 1968 [23 Sept., 1967], No. 43378/67. Heading F4A. [Also in Division F2] A vessel 10, such as a steam boiler, is connected by means of pipe lines 13 and 35 to a control device 12 which serves to main the vessel liquid level constant and to actuate burners associated with the vessel when the vessel liquid level is above a predetermined value, there being provided in these lines valves 15 and 39 respectively, both of which are so constructed that the contol device 12 is never isolated. In the arrangement shown, both valves when in a first terminal position communicate the vessel with the control device, which may incorporate a float or an electrical sensing arrangement, so that the pressure and liquid level in the device are the same as that in the vessel, and when in a second terminal position isolate the device from the vessel but place it in communication with atmosphere, both the vessel and the device being placed in communication with atmosphere when the valve is in any intermediate position, the arrangement and construction of the valves thus facilitating removal from the pipe lines 13 and 35 of any debris contained therein.
|
