In a bleeding system for hydraulic dual circuit brakes, ducts 3, 4 are provided for allowing connection to be made between the two circuits whereby only one bleeding valve 17 is necessary to bleed both circuits. Each pair of duets 3, 4 is normally separated by a screw 5 which is unscrewed prior to bleeding. As shown in Fig. 5, the system is applied to a disc brake having a four-cylinder dual-circuit fixed caliper, but the system may also be applied to a disc brake having a four-cylinder dual-circuit floating caliper and to a dual-circuit drum brake system.
