<p>PURPOSE:To measure a plane distribution of a magnetic field produced on the ground surface by an alternating current through a buried pipe by arranging a folding type sensor unit alongside the body of a mobile apparatus being extended to perform a measurement of the magnetic field at a point along the unit with magnetic sensors within the unit. CONSTITUTION:A unit 4 which houses magnetic sensors 3 alongside a body 1 with a wheel 2 is arranged being extended in a folding fashion. The body 1 houses a detection signal processing system 6 of the magnetic sensors 3, a results display means 7, a control means 8 and a part of the magnetic sensor 3 is provided with a handle 9, a motor and a movement detection means 10. The magnetic sensors 3 within the sensor unit 4 each have a detection shaft in three axes orthogonal to one another with X and Y axes within a horizontal surface and are arranged in a row with the detection shafts well arranged. The magnetic sensors are moved on the ground surface along the buried pipe to measure a magnetic field produced on the ground surface by an alternating current for detection through the pipe and a plane distribution thereof. In a measuring system, a CPU 13 processes outputs of the sensors 3 and an output of the movement detection means to be shown on a display means 7. An effective sensor 3 alone is utilized by a signal of a detection switch 14 at a refraction section 5 of the unit to perform a measurement.</p> |
