The mixture includes silicon particles up to 5 microns in diameter, a saturated solution of an alkali silicate or alkaline earth silicate and an acid substance preferably phosphoric acid as blast furnace slag. The proportion SiO2 : silicate is 2 : 1 to 2 to 1.5. The blast furnace slag contains 15-20% phosphoric acid, 42-48% limestone, 2% magnesia, and 1% manganese oxide, and is added just before application. |
