Nickel base super alloy for manufacture of turbine blading for jet aircraft, consists of 0.05 - 0.25% C, 5 - 8% Cr, 0.5 - 4.0% Mo, 0.5 - 2.0% Ti, 4.5 - 6.5% Al, 1 - 10% Co, 4 - 8% W, 0 - 2% Re, 0.2 - 3.0% Hf, 0.01 - 0.50 Zr, 0.005 - 0.200 B, 6 - 10% Ta, 0 - 2% Nb, 0 - 1% V, balance Ni. The sum of Mo, W and Ta is 15 - 20% of the amount distribution being Ta > W > Mo. The stress rupture life of the alloy at an applied stress of 15,000 p.s.i. at 2000 degrees F is 20 hr. - Spec. there is sufficient Ni present to provide the compound Ni3AlxTiy, where x + y=1, but y 0.6.
