Magnetic tape fault detector equipment - has circuit using magnetic field sensitive diode and demodulator elements and uses array of detector elements

A circuit is adapted for use in a magnetic tape fault detector equipment in which an array of magnetic field sensitive diode detector elements and a demodulator and multiplexing arrangement are used. An array of detector elements (23) is used and this array is able to feed a sequence of demodulating diodes (33) through suitable amplifiers (32), and the outputs are multiplexed with further diodes (35) to valve (36) which acts as a common amplifier (34) and thence to an output element (31). Some characteristics and waveforms and a block diagram of a full system are given.
