The paper valve bag includes a reinforcement of the upper side or upper base of the bag containing a filler valve in such a way that the valve hose area of that part of the valve hose turned inwards may also be used as a carrying grip or handle permitting one handed carrying of the filled bag. The bag's upper side (2) containing the valve hose (4) has a reinforcement sheet (5) extending outwards in the direction of the valve hose (4) overlapping the latter at least partially (5a) over the resulting folding lines. The individual layers of paper get stronger in an outward direction with a plastic foil inserted between two layers of paper.
