The seat (5) and its back (4) are able to be tipped forwards from their normal position. The seat is tipped about a horizontal hinge (6) running along its front lower edge and the back tips about a vertical hinge (8) running along the rear side edge of the back on the side next to the driver's seat. The seat lower front edge is connected by its horizontal hinge to a casing (7) resting on the front floor of the vehicle. The vehicle has a rear floor (9) raised above the front floor. When the seat is in its tipped forward position it forms with the upper face of the casing a forward extension of the rear floor. Alternatively the lower front edge of the seat can be connected by a horizontal hinge to a frame so as to slide on the floor or on the casing.
