Heat transfer patterns - hot pressed by ironing to transfer coloured patterns e.g. onto clothes

Heat transfer patterns are prepd. by cutting out designs from temporary support sheets having one surface entirely covered with transfer ink of a given colour, and the other surface entirely covered with an adhesive substance, placed against a siliconised paper. The pattern is arranged, wrong side up on a transfer sheet, with the inked surface turned outwads, and the uncoloured side is stuck against the transfer sheet. The transfer sheet, covered with the pattern elements, is brought face down on to the final support to be printed, and hot pressed so that the colour is transferred by a simple ironing procedure.
