PURPOSE:To automatically exchange a tool, by fitting a head of bolts at the side of a main spindle through round bellied holes provided to a holder of a large weight tool, index rotating the holder, tightening and loosening the bolts with a nut runner. CONSTITUTION:A holder 8 of a tool 8a is supported through a positioning pin 18 to a supporting member 16 in the periphery of an index rotatable tool exchange main unit 11 around a vertical line out of a machining range of main spindle 7 rotated around the vertical line. A plurality of round bellied extension holes 15 are provided in the periphery of the holder 8, when the tool is mounted, a head of tightening bolts 14 around the main spindle is placed through the round bellied hole to perform index rotation of the supporting member by an indexing device 20, and then the tightening bolt is tightened by a nut runner 13. When the tool is removed, operation is reversely performed. |
