<p>A large metal cone cathode ray tube (10) and envelope (12) for the same in which the faceplate (30) is adhered to the metal cone (20) by a frit seal without distorting the faceplate. In some embodiments, a glass neck assembly (40) also is adhered the metal cone by a frit seal (45). Readily available glass and metal materials can be used.</p> |
