Longitudinally elastic central parts (5) of the front and rear sides of a garment and the widthwise elastic side parts (6, 7) are joined by longitudinally directed elastic seams (8, 9). The central parts in the less elastic direction have a large width between two openings for the legs of the wearer. The upper edge (1) of the garment provided with a tightening band is long in relation to the size of the two leg openings. The two short legs (2, 3) of the garment terminate in cuffs (23, 24) and the garment is made of a knitted weave. The material is a clean cotton thread together with a 50% mixed cotton/polyester thread. The weave is elastically stretchable up to 75% in one direction but only up to 15% in the perpendicular direction. |
