PURPOSE:To provide a highly reliable BaTiO3 semiconductor porcelain and the highly reliable PTC thermister each having higher voltage resistance than those of conventional products in spite of being low in the resistivity. CONSTITUTION:The BaTiO3 semiconductor porcelain contains BaTiO3, a semiconductor element such as a rare earth element, Nb, Bi, Sb, Wh or Th, and Mn. The BasiO3 semiconductor porcelain contains the BaTiO3 in which a part of the Ba is substituted with 3-5-mol.% of Sr and 13-15mol.% of Ca and which contains TiO2 and SiO2 in amounts of 0.5-2mol.% and 1-4mol.%, respectively, in a ratio of 1:(2-4). The PTC thermister uses the semiconductor material. |
