<p>PURPOSE:To uniformly inflate and expand an air bag by intervening a partition plate between an inflater and the air bag. CONSTITUTION:An air bag device is provided with a housing 11 having an aperture part 16 opening to a cabin side, an air bag 13 for storing in the housing, an inflater 12 having gas jet ports 24 at its one end, and a partition plate 26 having a gas outlet 27 and intervened between the inflater and the air bag, and the inflater is arranged with the gas jet ports opposing to the wall face of the partition plate or the housing inside wall. The gas outlet is formed in such a state that an aperture area of one end side of the partition plate opposed to one end part having the gas jet ports of the inflater is made smaller than that of the other side end in the longitudinal direction. An intenoediate diaphragm wall plate having an outflow port and intervened between the inflater and the partition plate is provided and aperture parts of the gas outlet of the partition plate and the outflow port of the intermediate diaphragm wall plate are made to be deviated each other.</p> |
