Measurement values are fed to a control unit (19) which adjusts a stop unit (15) so that the timber piece, after longitudinal transport on a conveyor, assumes a position relative to a cutter (17) so that a right-angled edge cut is produced. A further upstream stop is provided for end alignment of the boards coming into contact with the measurement device (11). The first stop unit takes up its length position before the plank or board is brought into contact with it by the conveyor (13). |
