PURPOSE: To simplify a structure and to reduce a price by providing an illuminator in an upper par in a car, an illuminance measuring device for detecting illuminance in the car and an arithmetic operation device for computing the number of passengers in the car based on the detected illuminance. CONSTITUTION: An illuminator 2 illuminates the inside of a car 1, and an illuminance measuring device 3 detects illuminance changed by the existence of passengers 5 in the car 1 illuminated by the illuminator 2. Then, an arithmetic operation device 4 counts the number of passengers in the car based on the illuminance measured by the illuminance measuring device 3. Thus, since the necessity of installing larger devices or installations like the case of measuring a load is eliminated, a price is reduced. |
