SAFETY CONNECTOR FOR A DISTRIBUTOR STRIP IN A TELECOMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM

The protected connector (1) is provided with fork-shaped spring contacts (9) whose side limbs are cut from flat material and can be deflected in a resilient manner in the plane of the material. Their sprung ends are immersed in slot-like recesses (10) in a housing of the protected connector (1). Over-voltage suppressors (6) are provided with pin-like, radially projecting connecting pins (7), which can be inserted between the limbs of the spring contacts (9). The distribution strip (1) can be produced simply and can be of compact construction.
