Boxing up railway sleepers involves the use of a height adjustable bearer frame with pairs of tools working one behind the other in the long direction. An auxiliary and vibrating drive is coupled to a mechanical multi pick head device acting like calipers about a central axis (22), which is vertical to the machine transversely across the track, and consolidates material under the sleepers. |
