PURPOSE:To take out averaged exhaust gas for carrying out EGR, and to enhance exhaust emission. CONSTITUTION:In an engine with superchargers in which the operation using only a main supercharger 10 and the operation using both the main and auxiliary superchargers 10, 11 are changed over in accordance with the operating condition, an exhaust manifold 8 is made up of a main exhaust collecting part 8a in which the exhaust gas from the cylinder group on the main supercharger 10 side is collected, an auxiliary exhaust collecting part 8b in which the exhaust gas from the cylinder group on the auxiliary supercharger 11 side is collected, and a communicating passage 9 communicating both the exhaust collecting parts 8a, 8b. An EGR passage 82 or the like for recirculating a part of exhaust gas taken out from the exhaust manifold 8 to a surge tank 2 are provided, and the take-out port 82a is arranged in the main exhaust collecting part 8a. By collecting the exhaust gas discharged from all the cylinders to the main exhaust collecting part 8a, the taken-out exhaust gas becomes averaged exhaust gas that has been averaged to the entire cylinders. |
