The "Rossitza" variety is resistant to the anthracnose, grows relatively early and is intended for field production of water melons. The plants are vital and are highly adaptive. The leaves are partitioned relatively broadly. The flowers are male and female, while the fruit is spherical and weighs between 4 and 6 kg. Their colour is light green with broad, curled darker green meridian strips. The meaty part is red, tender, with very good taste qualities. The pips are small, brown, with black spots toward the sharp edge. The vegetation period between the germination and ripening of the first fruit is about 85 days. The fruit is resistant to transportation.
