Impact absorber

摘要

An impact absorber to permit the resilient fastening of a shock absorber to the frame side rail of a vehicle body has a regenerable shock absorber and a non-regenerable deformation element. In order to produce an impact absorber which is of compact construction and absorbs a large amount of energy, provision is made for the deformation element to take the form of metal bellows which concentrically surround the guiding tube and are connected to the fastening plate and a contact disc. Furthermore, the metal bellows are connected to the shock absorber via the contact disc.
