<p>PURPOSE: To start a vibration generating unit which produces friction between a gold wire and a welding point and causes an eutectic phenomenon between the same, to control the vibration wave within a predetermined range and to ensure that gold and silver eutectic is a weld without defect. CONSTITUTION: A piezoelectric crystal generates vibrations when it is subjected to a voltage and produces current and voltage when it is subjected to vibrations. A pressure measuring crystal 74 is fixed at one end of a vibration unit 73 having the same properties. When the vibration unit 73 generates vibrations in the axial direction, the vibrations are transferred to the measuring crystal 74 which outputs current and voltage. When the waveform of vibrations in the axial direction reaches that of the complete gold and silver eutectic, the measuring crystal 74 also generates X voltage and Y current with the same waveform. The X voltage and Y current from the measuring device are detected. If the generated X voltage and Y current are within a fixed range, the gold and silver eutectic phenomenon of the gold wire can be judged as acceptable.</p> |
