PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition of low irritativeness, excellent in foaming ability and detergency and suitable as detergents for skin and clothing by mixing an amide-amine ampholytic surface active agent with an alkyl saccharide surface active agent. CONSTITUTION:The title composition is obtained by mixing an amide-amine ampholitic surface active agent of formula I or II [wherein R1 and R3 are each a 7-19C saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group; R2 and R4 are each -CH2 COOM or -CH2CH2COOM (wherein M is H, alkali metal or alkanol); and R5 is H or R2] [e.g., N-laurolyl-N'-carboxymethyl-N'-(2-hydroxyethyl)ethylenediamine/trietha nolamine salt] and an alkyl saccharide surface active agent of formula III (wherein R6 is 8-18C alkyl, alkenyl, branched alkyl or alkylphenyl; G is 5-6C reducing sugar; and n is 1-10) [e.g., C12-O-G2.5 (wherein C12 is dodecyl; G is glucose)]. |
