PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prepaid card system and a prepaid card capable of storing information for plural prepaid cards in a single prepaid card. SOLUTION: An IC card 13 is provided with a common area 35 storing common card data usable at plural stored in common and a house card area 33 plurality storing house card data usable at a specific store. A user inserts the IC card 13 to a card processor 11. The card processor 11 is previously imparted with a store code for specifying itself and discriminates whether house card information with its own store code is stored in the inserted IC card 13 or not to update this house card information when it is stored but to update common card information when it is not stored.
