PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent forgetting or omitting the replacement of an ink storage means, SOLUTION: An ink jet printer has a carriage having a replaceable ink storage means storing ink used in recording mounted thereon along with an ink jet recording head to move the same in the direction crossing the feed direction of a recording medium and a carriage driving means moving the carriage to the predetermined position of the region excepting both ends of the movable region of the carriage 5 to stop the same. |
