PURPOSE:To provide a producing device for rare earth based magnet powder capable of uniformalizing the temp. of a magnet raw material in hydrogeneting the magnet raw material and advantageous to the prevention of variation in magnetic property. CONSTITUTION:Plural reaction tubes 10 holding the rare earth based magnet raw material 2 are inserted in a heating device 4. And the magnet raw material 2 is heated by the heating device 4 while supplying gaseous hydrogen to each reaction tube 10 from a gaseous hydrogen supply device 5 to execute a hydrogen occluding process. In this process, the temp. is about 800 deg.C, the time is about 3hr and the pressure of hydrogen is 1.2-1.5atm. After that, the reaction tubes 10 are evacuated with the operation of a vacuum pump 60 to a vacuum (e.g 10<-5>-10<-9>Torr) so as to forcibly exhaust hydrogen occluded in the magnet raw material 2. In this case, the temp. is held at 775-850 deg.C, and the time for about 30min. After that, the magnet raw material 2 is quenched. |
