PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robotic device for teaching materials which is attractive to children and uses a micro processor, and to provide a running program generating method for generating a running program to be loaded into the microprocessor. SOLUTION: This robotic device for teaching materials is comprised of an optical input means for inputting an optical signal, a memory 18m for storing a running program inputted via the optical input device, a microprocessor 18 for executing the running program stored in this memory 18m and outputting a motor drive instruction, plural motor drivers 21a, 21b for controlling normal rotation or reverse rotation and a driving time of motors based on the motor drive instruction outputted from this microprocessor 18, and the motors M1, M2 driven by these drivers 21a, 21b respectively.
