A refrigerating machine oil composition comprising an alicylic dicarboxylic acid ester compound having an alicyclic ring and two ester groups represented by formula (1) bonded to adjacent carbon atoms of the alicyclic ring: -COOR<1> wherein R<1> represents analkyl group having 1-18 carbon atoms, said alicyclic dicarboxylic acid ester compound being obtained by using an alcohol component comprising (a) at least one alcohol selected from a group consisting of fatty alcohols each having 1 to 5 carbon atoms; and (b) at least one alcohol selected from a group consisting of fatty alcohols each having 6 to 18 carbon atoms.
