PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flooring member with which even though gaps are created at the joint portions of the flooring members after the installation, any dust accumulated in the gaps or nails or screws fixing adjacent flooring members can be concealed, thereby finishing the floor surface having beautiful appearance. SOLUTION: A recessed fitting portion 2 is provided at one side edge and a projected fitting portion 3 is provided at the other side edge of the flooring member. In the band board-shaped flooring member F forming the floor surface by fitting together the recessed fitting portion 2 and the projected fitting portion 3, a hood-shaped sloped step portion 4 is provided at the top surface side of the recessed fitting portion 2, and a sloped step surface 5 interlocking with the sloped step portion 4 is provided at the top surface side of the projected fitting portion 3.
